Small three footed fine porcelain bowl with lid, [can be used as trinket box and jewelry tray], gold decorations including moriage gold, yellowish matte glaze band over the gold ornament on the lid, porcelain mark-- Maruki symbol with "Hand Painted Nippon," 1910s. Maruki symbol is the clan crest of the Morimura family, the founders of Noritake Porcelain Company-- the earliest mark applied on Noritake porcelain. [reference: Van Patten's #180, and Gotheborg]
