Norton - International - Model 40 - 350 cc - 1937

Norton International straight from the IOM TT races. One of the most charismatic model names in motorcycling history, ‘International’ was first used by Norton for its top-of-the-range super sports model in 1932. The Inter’s Arthur Carroll-designed overhead-camshaft engine had been developed in the works TT racers for the preceding two years, Based on the works bikes and intended for racing, the International could also be ordered with lights and a kickstart-equipped gearbox. This Norton International has been part of large collection and has not run for years. During its lifetime as a racing bike it has received some deviations from original specification such as an interesting front brake and a later gearbox (without kickstart) . It is equipped with rare and beautiful parts like magnesium crankcases, 'pie crust' petrol tank and racing oil tank with left hand filler. The Norton is complete and has a beautiful patina.
