Noverdy - A pair of art deco wall lights, sconces

[ translate ]

NOVERDY A nice pair of authentic 1925-1930 French art deco wall lights. The solid brass mounts hold two beautiful slip shades in frosted moulded-pressed glass by Jean Noverdy a retailer and glass manufacturer in Dijon France. This model shade was produced by Verreries de Vosges. Vosges sold an unsigned version and for Noverdy they produced signed ones on special order. Both slip shades of these sconces are signed Noverdy France near the rim on the inside of the shade. The sconces are about 21,5 cm high, 23 cm wide and project 13 cm from the wall. They are in very good condition. One shade has a small chip on the inside of the rim. In fact it is not a damage. It's a moulding irregularity. It hardly shows with the shade placed in its mount. I have renickeled and patinated the fixtures. I placed new E14 sockets so you can use our modern light bulbs. For European countries I will add two good quality LED bulbs. For the US or Japan I will wire the sconces with American candelabra base sockets. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting for over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the fragile items well protected and fully insured.
