En 1976, Jack Heuer, arrière-petit-fils du fondateur de la maison, dessine un chronographe pour célébrer le 1er titre de champion du monde de Niki Lauda chez Ferrari. La maison horlogère suisse est alors Chronométreur officiel de la Scuderia (de 1971 à 1979), et c'est la première fois que l'inscription MONZA fait son apparition sur le cadran d'une montre.
