This amazing Candy "bonbon" dish stands roughly 11.50 cm. high, the glass dish has a diameter of approximately 20 cm. and the two pieces weight 1,153 grams. The base is stamped with the French government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver in addition to M. Odiot's sterling silver hallmark. It is in "near new" condition. The 950 sterling silver base without the class dish weights 628 grams. The House of Odiot was founded in 1690 and for over three centuries the company of silversmiths has maintained it's fabulous tradition of creating masterpieces in sterling silver and gold plated sterling silver (vermeil). For five generations the firm has been silversmiths to the Kings and Queens of Europe as well as Presidents and Emperors around the world.
