Foil. (binding about 305x205 mm.). (24, of 25, lacks title leaf), 1-286 ll. 1 engraved map of Scandinavia (close cut in left margin with some pictorial loss), more than 450 wood-engravings in the text, and a printer's woodcut device.
Latter (20th century) half vellum, boards of old musical print, blank spine
Hem i med. Partly close cut in upper margin with some loss of text. At the beginning of some worming in the lower margin. About 6 leaves with large mended tears, otherwise some minor marginal damages. Some foxing and spotting, a few leaves browned. Sold with all faults not subject to return.

Second, but first complete illustrated Italian edition. Including the famous map of Scandinavia, here engraved and closely copied from the woodcut map used in the 1555 edition. It is based on the original map from 1537 in nine leaves.
