(1901 - 1965) German general and Luftwaffe pilot during World War II, recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and the first Stuka pilot to receive that award. Scarce war-date S.P., 3.5 x 5.5 in., postcard bearing a chest-up view of the general in uniform, prominently wearing his Knight's Cross and Oak Leaves, signed at bottom in black ink. Reverse side bears a blue 'Feldpost' stamp at top, as well as a July 5, 1943 cancel. Signature faint with poor contrast, wear to the reverse side has removed original recipient's name, else very good.
