Osvaldo Borsani (Italian, 1911-1985), circa 1940. Striped high back settee with braided fringe and carved gilt wood spiral accent. Apparently unmarked. Provenance: Acquired from Fred Silberman, New York in May 1999, accompanied with receipt. Approx. h. 43", w. 42.25", d. 27", seat h. 15.5".
Condition Report: Wear commensurate with age and use. Fading to braided cord around feet and wear to cord around edges - some scattered loss.
