Okimono - Elephant ivory - Mouse hunter - Signed Tamiji 民次 - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) . Excellent ivory okimono depicting the mouse hunter in an unusual scene. With his left hand he is holding the classic box and with his right hand he is raising a lacquer tray, while the mouse is climbing on his back. He looks almost surprised and frightened, engraved signature Tamiji 民次. Weight: 70 g. Very good overall condition - natural ivory lines - tray probably restored at the hand with minimal traces of glue and putty - see photos. The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped within 1 or at most 2 business days from the day of payment. The shipping cost includes delivery with UPS or DHL courier with full insurance and professional packaging.
