Okimono - Ivory - Farmer with hoe, ear of rice and rooster - With signature and seal at bottom - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) Fine okimono depicting a farmer leaning on the hoe with a rooster on his shoulder and an ear of rice in his hand. Fair general condition, it shows signs of restoration work on the hoe, ear of rice and tail of the rooster, modified as shown in red in the photos.
