Ole Wanscher was born in 1903, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He studied at the Danish School of Art and Design. Wanscher was an architect and professor of architecture specialising in furniture designs. Ole Wanscher was mainly influenced by Professor Kaare Klint, with whom he worked from 1924 through 1927. Nowadays, his pieces of furniture are considered to be modern classics, made with an exceptional eye for detail.
. In the 1950s, he also started working with P. Jeppesens Møbelfabrik A/S. This collaboration continued until the end of his life.
. Characteristic of the designs by Ole Wanscher is his search for slim dimensions and resilient shapes.
