This is a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Professional "Alaska Project" 311. 32. 42. 30. 04. 001 limited edition re-creation of prototype watch made for NASA astronauts, limited to 1970 pieces. This timepiece which is the truly treasure for Omega enthusiasts and collectors. This Omega "Alaska Project" has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 1861 movement that's rhodium-plated. It has a white zinc oxide-coated dial, with black and white baton hands, a center red chronograph hand, and baton hour markers around a perimeter minute/one-fifth second track. There are three recessed white subsidiary dials, including a running seconds dial at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute chronograph indicator at 3 o'clock. Both the 12-hour and 30-minute registers have black Apollo hands. The case back engraved with, "ALASKA PROJECT – LIMITED SERIES – 50M/167 FT – FLIGHT-QUALIFIED BY NASA FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSIONS," and the edition number of 1970 examples. In the center is a medallion with "SPEEDMASTER," and the logo with an Omega symbol.
