Rectangular, the cover with a relief Irish tavern scene, raised foliate borders, engine-turned sides, engraved crest and motto DULCIS AMOR PATRIÆ (The love of one's country is sweet) to the reserve on the base, gilded interior, the inside cover with presentation inscription, length 8.6cm, weight 4.6oz.
The presentation inscription reads: "This box presented by the Worshipful Master & Brethren of Eldon Orange Lodge 1640 to BROTHER JOSEPH PASLEY, ..." dated Dublin February 3rd, 1830 and signed by Saml Warren, Master, Wn Egan, DM, J Judkin Butler, Secty.
