Original woodblock print, Published by Watanabe - Ito Takashi 伊藤孝之 (1894-1982) - "Kamikōchi no shunsetsu" 上高地春雪 (Spring Snow in Kamikochi) - Japan - ca 1960-85 (Late Showa period) Note Ito Takashi was born in Hamamatsu,Shizuoka prefecture. He sudied in Kyoto and at Tokyo Fine Art School, then Became a puil of Somei Yuki, his painttings being selected for the Imperial Exhibition. He made his first color prints in the spring of 1922, and prior to the 1923 earthquake had done considerable experimenting in drawing and painting,obtaining especially interesting results from prints conceived chiefly as compositions, and printed with very few colors. During World WarⅡ,he lived in Hirosaki. After 1945 he continued to make many new prints in various place in Japan. First edition 1932 June . This is a later impression from the original woodblocks.
