Original woodblock print, Published by Numabe Shinkichi - Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) - Black panther - Heisei period (1989-2019) Woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) originally made in 1987 This print is reprinted (atozuri) by printer Numabe Shinkichi of the Yoshida studio (atozuri) . Beautiful, natural gold colorful background, matching the black panthers eye. You can nearly feel the softness off the fur. Toshi Yoshida was the eldest son of Hiroshi Yoshida. Like his father he undertook extensive travels all over the world. His trips took him to the U. S. A. , Canada, India, Africa, Australia and even to the Antarctica. Most of his print subjects are focused on landscapes or animals depicted in a realistic style. After the death of his father Hiroshi Yoshida, he even experimented in abstract art for a while but returned to realistic landscape prints. The woodblock print is in excellent condition, as new ! Never been framed. Will be packed with great care, between cardboard plates to prevent bending
