Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) Manner of/ Attributed: Portrait of a Lady. Charcoal on paper, signed and dated (3.IV.59) upper left. Verso is marked by another hand in pencil, "Donne par Paul - Arv 63" . Unframed. This item is accompanied by a sales receipt and an unverified note of attribution from Marc Gaudet-Blavignac.

Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism.
