PAIR OF WEDGWOOD 'RHODIAN WARE' SILVER LUSTRE TRUMPET VASES circa 1926, impressed uppercase mark and 8T30, black painted CL.5572 E., designed by Millicent Taplin (1902â 1980), both of tapering conical form on a spreading circular foot, painted with stylized flowers in the Islamic taste, reserved by silver lustre scrolling foliage, h: 8 1/2 in. (2)

Catalogue Note:
Millicent (Millie) Jane Taplin (1902â 1980) was employed at Josiah Wedgwood and Sons from (1917â 1962). She rose through the ranks to become one of the company's main pattern designers in the mid to late 1930s.
