Very Early Pattern 1828, traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Steel basket hilt, decorated with traditional pierced heart pattern of the mid to late 18th century that was adopted in the 1828 pattern broadsword. Blade bears double edge with double fuller ricasso. Wire wrapped black leather handle.
