PAUL NASH
1889-1946
THE FRENCH FARM

signed; also signed on the stretcher bar
oil on canvas
54 by 73cm.; 21¼ by 28¾in.
Executed in 1926.

Condition Report:
The canvas is original. There is a small protrusion to the canvas in the lower left quadrant. There are a small number of very fine, scattered lines of craquelure in places. There is one instance where the wet paint has been smudged by the Artist in the upper centre of the work. There is some light surface dirt. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition.

Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a small number of tiny, sensitively executed spot retouchings at a couple of points, largely at the extreme edges.

The work is held within a carved wooden frame with a linen slip.
