signed and dated 1921 twice; also signed and inscribed on the reverse
pencil, coloured crayon and watercolour on paper
38 by 52.5cm.; 15 by 20¾in.
Condition Report:
The sheet is adhered to the mount with two strips of adhesive tape to the upper edge. There are Artist's pinholes at all four corners and to the centre of upper and lower edges. There are a few nicks to the edges of the sheet. The upper edge is very slightly deckled and the right and left edges are evenly cut. There is some very minor creasing to the sheet in places, in-keeping with the Artist's working methods and material. There is staining to the upper corners of the sheet, in-keeping with old adhesive tabs, and staining to the extreme edges of the sheet, in line with a previous mount. There is probable time staining to the sheet and the pigments have probably faded slightly over time. There are a small number of flecks of staining and foxing in a few places, and one or two very minor accretions and light surface dirt in places. This accepting, the work appears in very good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a stained wooden frame.
