PAUL SORMANI SIGNED ORMOLU ROSEWOOD CARD TABLE

Paul Sormani (French, 1817-1877), late 19th century. Louis XV style bronze mounted rosewood veneer envelope card table, with a fold out top, red felt game surface, over a single drawer, and raised on cabriole legs with sabot feet, lock plate signed 'P. Sormani / 10 rue Charlot / Paris'.

Approximate dimensions: h. 29", w. 23", d. 23.25" (closed); w. 31.75", d. 31.75" (open).
Condition: Scattered surface wear, small chips to veneer, loose felt, scattered gilt loss, and surface wear commensurate with age and use including scratches, scuffs, and dings. Accompanied by key. Pleasing oxidation to ormolu.
