Pair of Repousse Decorated Venetian Silver Lidded Goblets or Urns, second half 18th c., lids with acorn finials, lid and body surrounded with bow & swag and fluted decoration, gadrooned rims, lid and base interiors stamped with Venice San Marco mark and double stamped with mark of assayer Zuan Piero Grappiglia (active 1758-1802), also marked with scratched letters 'A, S, N' or 'N, S, V', set on later round black lacquered wooden bases with felted bases, steel connection hardware soldered to cup interiors, vessels only: 9" high, 4" diam., overall: 10" high; 39.5 ozt tw (incl. bases and added hardware).
