Triebner, Ens & Eckert (German, 1877-1894), late 19th century. Pair of Volkstedt porcelain shell-form sweet meat dishes in the rococo taste, each having gilt floral decoration, with a maiden surrounded by putti playing musical instruments, and rising on a naturalistic rocaille base. Marked to underside. Approx. of one, h. 11.5", w. 9.5", d. 5.75".
Condition Report: Both with minimal enamel loss. Both with scattered minor gilt loss. One with small chip to ruffled bowl of sweet meat---not distracting. Same with clear celaphane coat to inside of bowl---does not fluoresce under black light. One figure missing flute. No apparent signs of repair.
