PRE - PATTERN 1828 SCOTTISH HIGHLAND BROADSWORD
Very Early Pre-1828 pattern traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Steel basket hilt decorated with traditional pierced heart pattern of the late 17th and early 18th century, prior to the transition to the standard Pattern 1828 broadsword. The configuration of this particular basket hilt bears preceding similarities to the 1828 pattern. Blade bears double edge and bears a central grind line. Brown wooden handle.
