PRE-WAR COLT NEW POLICE REVOLVER

SERIAL 48440. BARREL 4". CALIBER .32 POLICE. MADE IN 1906. This gun was only made from 1896-1907. It features Colt blue factory finish, six shot, double action, fixed sights with Colt logo gutta percha grips. Right side of barrel is stamped Police Positive while left side is stamped Colt New Police. The standing Colt pony on left side of frame is surrounded by stamping "Colt's New Police". This revolver retains traces of original blue with majority of finish having turned a soft patina. Legends are sharp. Grips are excellent with small chip on right rear heel. Cylinder release spring is weak. Action is tight. Rifling is still sharp. C&R
