Description: Pair of figurative Empire Girandoles — France, around 1810 On a square base with laurel wreaths and lyres, fully sculpted women in figure-hugging, antique-style dresses, carrying the four-flame garland on their head, the candlestick arms decorated with curled volutes, the undersides of the eaves bowls and the spouts finely chased with leaf-tip decoration and geometric patterns. Bronze, brown patinated as well as matt and polished gold plating. H. 72 cm. / Paar figürlicher Empire-Girandolen Frankreich, um 1810 Auf quadratischem Postament mit applizierten gebundenen Lorbeerkränzen und Lyren vollplastische Frauenfiguren in körperbetonten, antikisierenden Kleidern, auf ihrem Kopf den vierflammigen Girandolenaufsatz tragend, die Leuchterarme mit gerollten Voluten geziert, die Unterseiten der Traufschalen sowie die Einstecktüllen mit Blattspitzen und geometrischen Mustern fein ziseliert. Bronze bruniert sowie matt- und glanzvergoldet. H. 72 cm.
