Pair of German Silver Classicist Candlesticks : Berlin, early 19th century. George Friedrich Fournier (master 1805-32). The round base with palmette frieze above a square plinth, smooth oval shaft on a ribbed nodus, vase-shaped spout with insertable eaves bowl above a leaf cuff. Silver. The plinth with the hallmark ''Baer'' (bear) and the maker's mark ''k'' for Johann Christian Samuel Kessner (1819-1854), ''A'' in a circle for Balthasar Gottfried Ferdinand Andreack (1819-1842) and the maker's mark ''F''. An der Plinthe Beschauzeichen Baer mit Beizeichen "k" fuer den Beschaumeister Johann Christian Samuel Kessner (1819-1854), "A" im Kreis fuer Wardeinmeister Balthasar Gottfried Ferdinand Andreack (1819-1842) und Meistermarke "F" sowie Tremolierstrich. H. 24,5 cm - Fuesse gefuellt.
