Other Notes: These plates are part of a 145-piece service celebrating the marriage of Roelof Jacobus Dozy (1759-1818) and Henrietta Maria Blondeel (1760-1809) in August of 1774 in Batavia, Dutch East Indies. Dozy held a long career with the VOC, and in 1785 he and his wife arrived in Canton where he was appointed as Trade Council director. It was during this time he presumably ordered this services

Condition: Condition statement: Good condition. Minor wear and rubbing to gilding and enamels.
