An impressive and fine pair of vases by Manufacture De Sevres, a model recorded as Vase a Double Culo't, with date marks for 1868. A powdered lapis blue ground with figural light blue ram heads as the twin handles. Gilt accents throughout. Sevres mark to the underside and to the interior of the rim dated to 1868. Potters incised mark S7-10 and decorated by artist with initials D.S. This uncommon form by Sevres was typically used for pate sur pate decorated pieces.
