Pair of Carl Poul Petersen (Danish, 1895 - 1977) Mid-Century Modern sterling silver compotes / tazzas, produced in Montreal, Canada, with lobed leaf-form hammered dish, arched "blossom" handle and openwork standard, maker's marks and marked: "Hand-Made / Sterling," circa 1950. 8.25" H x 8" W x 7" D. Approx 40.73 ozt inclusive of weighted bases. dent on the underside pictured next to makers mark..cannot be seen and does not affect the way compote stands...very small minor bend in one of the leafs....
excellent condition....crisp hammering....very exciting piece
