Pair of French Giltwood "Porthole" Mirrors
ca. 1900, in the rococo taste, the circular plates trimmed with giltwood rocaille work, the upper and lower portions with mirrored backs, scrollwork and bellflowers, set with pierced rocaille crests.

Provenance: The Estate of Donald J. Hurst, Waterloo, Iowa.
Condition Report: **Both have age cracks and scattered flaking and losses to the gessoed surface. The gold surface has been touched up throughout on both. One has a small loss to the left edge of the crest. The other has a glued repair to the crest and a loss to the left curl at the very bottom of the frame.
