A Pair of Yellow-Ground Peking Enamel Vases. Each cast with an elongated ovoid section resting on a splayed foot and sweeping up to a tall slender waisted neck flanked by a pair of C-shaped bird motif handles, the body decorated to one side with a pheasant among large peony blooms under a pine tree, the other with four geese before and above a pierced rock issuing chrysanthemum and prunus branches, all below a diaper frieze containing two floral cartouches. {Height: 12 3/8 inches (31.4 cm) each}. Condition: Scratch marks, minor dents.
