Parthian Empire glazed pottery vessel, 26,5 x 13 cm

Glazed ceramic vessel intended to contain wine or water and used domestically. This pot made of a greenish glaze is preserved in a masterly way being one of the best examples of Parthia art, which consists of a mixture of Persian and Hellenistic influences. Parthia was an empire in the territory of present-day Iran founded by the births in the third century B.
