This very decorative map has an attractive, figurative cartouche with natives and a sleeping European, while at the bottom of the map a group of mermen attack a sea monster with tridents and swords as a group of putti atop the scale of miles cartouche look on. The map is further adorned with a compass rose and a sailing ship.

A sharp impression on a bright, sturdy sheet with a professionally repaired hole just below the compass rose, with a minor portion of the image replaced in facsimile.
