Paul Sandby Munn, British 1773-1845- A bridge between Netherby and Langholme, Dumfries-shire, Scotland, July 31 1804; pencil, signed, titled and dated, 16.2x34.5cm. Note: The present drawing is likely to show Skipper’s Bridge on the river Esk south of Langholme. It dates from his tour in the summer of 1804 to Yorkshire, Scotland and the Lake District. The British Museum has a view of Kippax, Yorkshire dated 5th July and two Lake District views dated 18th and 20th August.
