Condition Report: Both examples have moderate wear to the gold leafing that has worn through on areas with regular contact from a user. This has formed a very distinct and attractive patina over time. The reflective quality of the leafing is more apparent on low points and the reverse of the pieces. A few low points near the finger nails show signs of wood filler under close inspection. This minor issue does not detract from the overall appearance. One seat has a couple gouges and the other example has an impact impression to the large toenail. Overall these pieces are in very good honest condition and present very well in person.
