Peter Green: A Handwritten Account of A Fleetwood Mac Post-Concert Party, undated – Six sheets of lined notepaper written in Peter Green’s hand in black felt-tip pen, beginning ‘On the 7th day of February 1969 Fleetwood Mac played at Grande Ballroom Detroit United States of America . . . one certain member of the group was given a quantity of grass and on getting back to the hotel certain members of the group began to smoke this this grass or ‘turn on’. Peter Green had not eaten that day (purposely though) so maybe this fact added to the ‘trip’ he was about to experience . . . ‘, also included are notes on how to achieve happiness and the importance and effects of music . . .’PG realised how lucky he, and his present friends were to be able to play music and to entertain people in this life . . .’, with an additional sheet with unrelated annotations of a few lines, possibly a lyric. 12.7 x 20.3cm. Peter Green (1946-2020) was a founding member of rock band Fleetwood Mac and the genius behind the hits 'Albatross', 'Black Magic Woman', and 'Man of the World'. He is still widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists and songwriters of all time, and despite leaving Fleetwood Mac in 1970, Peter’s pioneering talents gained him a following of faithful fans which include fellow legendary guitarists such as Jimmy Paige, Eric Clapton, Kirk Hammett, David Gilmour, and Noel Gallagher.
