Based on traditional method of icon production in the 18th and 19th century in Russia. The painter made the icon according to his individual interpretation. This is what makes his works so unique. His works are very different from conventional Orthodox icons. But it is precisely this component that makes his works of art so interesting. The painting is rather coarse and not very finely executed, yet painted in the old manner. The saints are labelled. The inscriptions are clearly legible.
