Petitot & Muller Freres - Art Deco lamp

[ translate ]

H. PETITOT & MULLER FRERES
. A wonderful French 1930 art deco table lamp in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. The high quality mount holds a globe by the famous Muller glass company signed Muller fres Luneville. This model shade exists in two sizes, this is the smaller version. It's refered to as "boule aux bandeaux" in the old Muller catalogs. The lamp was designed and produced by the well known Paris based company of Henri Petitot (10 rue du Vert-Bois) . His father Antonin Petitot founded the firm in 1878. Henri took over after the first worldwar. The base is marked on the inside with the usual AP initials (AP for Antonin Petitot) . This model base was also used by Petitot for a ceiling light mounted with a Muller peacock globe. As such it is represented in the 1931 Petitot catalog (see picture) .

. The lamp has a height of 20,5 cm and the Muller shade is 14 cm in diameter. It is in very good condition. The 90 years old nickel plating is still in excellent condition given its age. I have cleaned the base and treated it with an agent against oxidation. The lamp comes newly wired. I used stylish cloth covered twisted cord. It holds a European E14 socket. So you can use our modern light bulbs for it. For European buyers I will add a LED bulb. I will rewire the lamp for the US or Japan with an American candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug.

. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting I sell my lamps online for a fraction of the prices art deco shops sell for. For over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the precious items well protected and fully insured.
