DESCRIPTION: Walnut Philadelphia Chippendale gothic splat, yoke back side chair with a carved shell skirt and ball and claw feet. The side rails through-tenoned the back uprights as is typical of Philadelphia work. Circa 1770. The slip seat with later needlepoint cover. MEASUREMENTS" 22" wide x 17-1/2" deep x 38-1/4" high.
