Extensive family archive, incl. large size photo of the Kantoorgebouw Turfsingel 46 (photo Kramer), the queen's visit to the Carton & Papierfabriek WA Scholten Sappemeer 1932, 2 photos of laying the cornerstone for the new factory at Sappemeer 1934, interior photo of their motorboat Libelle. Photocard of the residence at Heeresingel 30, and a number of scenes with visitors in the house's garden. A large number of portraits and group photos, 13 cabinet cards, 33 cartes de visite, extensive collection of congratulatory cards for the birth of their granddaughter Gesina Margaretha Oving (born 1900). Short war correspondence between daughter and mother. Membership document of the firm with signature of W.A. Scholten - and many other items. Most of the photos personalised on reverse.
Hermannus Ellens Oving, born at Zwolle on 7 May 1868, died at Groningen 21 October 1939, son of Jan Hermannus Oving (jeweller) and Petronella Plantenga. Married at Groningen on 15 November 1897 Cato Johanna Scholten, born at Groningen 21 March 1877, died at Groningen 3 August 1953, daughter of Jan Evert Scholten and Geessien Mulder.
