Condition Report:
Both movements are in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The agate clock with signs of wear to the case, tarnishing to the bezel and elephant seal, the base with surface wear and minor dents. The alarm clock's function is working properly. The alarm clock with signs of aging to the dial and minor signs of wear to the case. Otherwise both clocks are in very good overall condition.

Catalogue Note:
Felix Houphouet-Boigny was born in 1905 and was elected president of the Ivory Coast for the first time in 1960. He had the vision to guide his country towards independence and economic prosperity by supporting the growth of the coffee and cocoa industry, and strengthened his ties with the western world. To commemorate his 20th anniversary as the president, Piaget released the present clocks for the very special occasion and are incredibly rare to the market. They both feature the Ivory Coast elephant seal which embraces the three virtues of the nation: union, discipline and travail.
