Platinum IWC Center Seconds Caliber 89 Vintage Watch
Rare vintage gents platinum IWC wristwatch. Circa 1960’s. Silver International Watch Co Schaffhausen dial with applied baton hour markers. Swiss made, mechanical manual wind movement, caliber 89. Case back is stamped PLATINUM with a five digit serial number. Comes on a brand new Tokki Project leather strap with a stainless steel Tokki Project tang buckle. Approximate diameter is 35mm.
The dial has minor spotting throughout and has areas of discoloration around the edges due to age which can be expected. The markers and hands have areas of light discoloration throughout. The watch has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age. The left side edge of the bezel has a couple of tool marks. Overall condition of the watch is good. Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness. An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.
