Beautiful Porsche 356 Speedster Recreation, in the beautiful grey / silver colour scheme, convertible, in very neat condition, with a Dutch registration. General information Odometer reading: 85,662 Body type: Convertible Fuel type: Petrol Year of manufacture: 1971 Transmission: Four gears Engine capacity: 1600cc with double carburettors Beautiful Porsche 356 Recreation, based on a VW Beetle chassis from 1971. Lovely touring car, in neat condition. The soft-top can be closed for driving in the rain. Everything works and the car is equipped with an air-cooled VW engine with double carburettors. The car is very smooth for its age and starts, drives and brakes as it should. I bought this car from a retired enthusiast who prepared the car during his retirement. He also paid attention to suitable Porsche parts such as the ivory steering wheel, the Porsche hubcaps and beautiful leather clasps. Details such as the Porsche logos on the seats and door cards really finish this Porsche! A beautiful car in which you definitely want to be seen. Still, the retired enthusiast didn’t do everything 100% in my opinion. For example, the seats are fine, but the backrest is not adjustable (the seat itself is of course adjustable) . The roof clamps (for securing / closing the soft-top) are so-so. By installing a new ignition lock, the doors can no longer be locked (different key) . The body around the steering column was not very neatly done. All in all a very nice car, but with small points of attention. Drive it as it is and enjoy it to the fullest, or restore the car further how you’d like it. Because of the Beetle base, the car is registered as a Beetle. It’s exempt from Dutch periodic inspection as it’s 50 years old. The car has a Dutch registration and is therefore easy to register in any EU country. This Speedster is sold "as is".
