I am happy to offer for sale this Porsche- 911 Coupé Series 0 from 1965, one of the early units produced. The chassis number is part of the ‘300’ series batch, in fact the first three digits are 302. The chassis, gearbox and engine numbers match those of origin. Built in the second half of 1965, with the following extras for Kardex: Power sunroof, tinted windows, radio with antenna, speaker, fog lights. It was finished by the factory in Polo Red with a black leatherette interior and was equipped by the factory with 4. 5-inch Lemmerz steel rims that are still the original ones and in fact, as shown in photos, feature July 1965 as the manufacture date! The car has matching numbers and was originally delivered in the state of Washington (USA) . This car was purchased in 1998 by myself. The car was rust-free and very original. A full restoration was carried out, returning the car to its original factory specifications only with the highest quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The car was disassembled and extensively photographed. Metalworking was carried out. The original colour, Polo Red, was applied using the correct Glasurit paint. Würth wax oil was applied to the hollow sections of the car for added rust protection. Interior was fully re-upholstered. Engine was disassembled and rebuilt inside according to the original Porsche specifications. Carburettors were also completely rebuilt. Heat exchangers were installed along with a new exhaust silencer. Transmission was disassembled and rebuilt inside according to the original Porsche specifications. The restoration began in 2016 and was completed in 2020. In 2021, it was ASI approved with the Targa Oro Class A Type 3, i. e. a car completely restored to the original specifications. General wearing parts, a professional paint correction, extended detailing and other small additions were made to take this extraordinary car to the next level. You don’t often see such a sought-after car on the market in such an extraordinary restored condition. The car comes with an original toolkit bag, a jack and 4. 5 spare, as well as an extensive catalogue of photographs during/after the restoration. It is a very reliable car, the 6-cylinder engine, which has been completely overhauled, has good torque and starts immediately. After the very first units equipped with Solex carburettors, the manufacturer opted for mounting Weber carburettors – as in this case – since they were more reliable because they didn't produce any power lapses around the 4000 rpm mark. The restoration of the bodywork was carried out starting from the bare sheet, which was repaired where necessary. As an example of the work carried out, some photos have been attached. However, restoration is documented with approx. 300 photos that will be provided to the buyer upon request. The car comes from the USA and is regularly imported into Italy with paid customs taxes, and it is registered in Italy. It is possible to technically verify the car at the Porsche Centre in Naples. The Certificate of Origin issued by Porsche North America and Porsche Italy and the ASI Targa Oro are also issued. • Chassis No. : 302 276 • Engine No. : 902 393 • Mileage: 300 km (after restoration) • Owners: 2 • Engine displacement: 1991 hp 130 • Exterior colour: Polo Red, code 6602 • Interior colour: Black Optional extras: Tinted glass; Power sunroof; Blaupunkt radio; Fog lights. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Naples, Italy. It is advisable to view the vehicle before bidding. For a viewing appointment, please contact Catawiki.
