Portuguese glazed ceramic bowl, with Faianca Battistini de Maria de Portugal marks, 1st half of the 20th century. Glazed and polychrome with marine motifs. Glazed sides topped with rocailles. Minimal restoration work. The factory was founded in 1836 as Companhia Fabril de Louca, the Battistini factory was named the Constancia pottery factory in 1842. During the 19th century, Wenceslao Cifka (1811-1884) was the main promoter. After the death of Leopoldo Battistini (1865-1936), Maria de Portugal (1884-1971) took over the management. . 41 x 32 x 57 cm.
