Footnote: The engraved arms are those of the family of Granville.
There were branches found in the West Country at Bideford in the County of Devon and Stow in the County of Cornwall, as well as at Calwich Abbey in the County of Staffordshire.
Members of the family were also created Earls of Bath in 1661 (extinct 1711) and Barons Lansdowne in 1712 (extinct 1734).
Condition Report: Fully marked to side under lid. Part marked to inner lip of lid. General marks, scratches, rubbing, spotting, tarnishing and wear. Timber to handle dry. Polish residue in areas. Repair to finial. Engraving later as stated.
