Quijingue Meteorite Slice Pallasite, PMG Bahia, Brazil - (10° 45'S, 39° 13'W) Found: 1984 Pallasites are a variety of meteorites that are generally considered the most beautiful of all types, given the presence of attractive and colorful crystals within their metal composition. This small and rectangular form features an abundance of relatively large Olivine crystals of greenish-golden coloration in a silvery mirror metallic matrix. Weighing 20 grams, this solid slice represents Quijingue, a Pallasite belonging to the main chemical group found in Brazil in 1984. While effectively finished on two sides, the polished surfaces both have minor imperfections but do not detract from this rare offering.
