R. Joyce/Pilkington Vase

An Early 20th Century Art Pottery Vase by Richard Joyce for Pilkington. Baluster form vase with brilliant blue glaze at the interior and an olive green lustre glaze with blue accents about the exterior, decorated with geometric motifs at the neck and base, decorated with birds amidst fruiting branches about the body of the vessel. Underside contains both artist's monogram and a faintly impressed "Royal Lancastrian England". Very minor wear overall. 9" high. ESTIMATE $600-1,000 Purchased from Gem Antiques, New York, 1984.
