RARE CONTINENTAL GOTHIC SACRISTY CABINET
Well preserved polychromed and gilt Gothic Ciborium, a sacristy cabinet, probably French, 14th c., with a putti carved frieze, upper central panel having painted song birds, flowers and amorini, flanked by tracery spires, the three-sided cabinet having canted sides with matching tracery, fabric covered top, painted skirt, later molded base. 23" to working surface, 43 1/2" x 27" x 14" deep. Shrinkage crack to upper panels, other minor losses, old repairs.
